Summer has passed us rather fast this year and we now find our physical bodies are adapting to the season of Autumn.
Autumn is represented by the element of Metal. In traditional chinese medicine the Metal element relates to the lung, large lntestine & skin.
The lung recieves vital Qi forces from Air, and combines it with Qi from food we eat. This is then distributed through our body, protecting us from viruses that can invade the lungs.
Our lung is our main organ involved in our defense system due to its direct connection to the environment. Any imbalance in the lung can effect / compromise our immune system, manifesting as respiratory problems. The strength of our lungs depends on our Qi.
Kinesiology brings a variety of support to the physical, mental & emotional body in the changing of seasons. As the mental mind births its thoughts and feelings, the physical body reflects these in relation to the environment at the time. Kinesiology supports the body as a whole, working with the emotions that connect to the muscles that move in relation to you and your life at the time.
Autumn and the element of metal support our emotions of grief and sadness. Grief and saddness are associated with the lungs and the large intestine.
When grief is expressed and resolved the internal organs connected are strenghtened. However if grief is internalised, then the lung is affected reflecting interference with the physical function and distribution of nutrients and Qi.
Most emotional grief that has not been resolved or expressed in some way is reflected via the lung and large intestine. This can be cleared with the support of Kinesiology by sharing feelings and thoughts that are connected to unresolved sadness. As we offload heavy budens of old, we find the blocks in our physical body dissipate, freeing us up to move forward freely in our authentic self.
Create space to heal and free yourself from unwanted physcial and emotional pain. In turn, reach your full potential.
The lung is also in charge of the tissue layer of skin and our sense organ the nose. Autumn is a good time to nourish our lungs in preperation for the seasons that can challenge them, such as Spring.
100% pure aromatherepy oils are amazing gifts from nature. Oils that support the lungs are: Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Niaouli & Hyssop.
